Don McLean serves as Pastor of Family Life at First Baptist Church in La Grande, Oregon. He is the director of our Heidi Ho Preschool and Kindergarten and co-leads our AWANA program as a Commander. Don also works with our Family Care Groups and volunteers for Young Life and Prison Fellowship.
He was born in Santa Monica, California and graduated from Willamette University with a BS in Economics and Speech Communications. Don spent much of his earlier years working for the Ford Motor Company and US Bank. He has volunteered over the years with Food for the Hungry, AWANA, the Ventura Youth Correctional Facility and traveled on short term missions trips to South America, Mexico, Russia and China. Don is married to Christine McLean and they have 6 children of their own.
Don’s personal mission is to share the love of Christ with students and parents and bring the school and church closer together. His desire is to see the Gospel of Christ reach children and adults and that God would be Glorified each and every day!
