Exploring the Bible

Begins Sunday, June 9th @ 10:30 am- 11:30 am

Option #1: Friending Like Jesus

Relationships are complex- friends, spouses, co-workers, relatives, parents, kids-all of our relationships bring a different set of circumstances. Sometimes there is conflict and drama. Sometimes there is joy and fulfillment. Sometimes there is loneliness and isolation. In all of these different circumstances, how do we live out Jesus’ command to love others just as he loved us? We are going to see how Jesus’ example gives us a model that gives us guidance in how to live out our relationships with other people. We will talk about how to develop a friendship, act out some skits to demonstrate principles, and most importantly see how this is vital to following Jesus. This would be appropriate fro middle schoolers through adults. Teacher: Jeff Smith in the Fellowship Hall

Option #2: Conversations in the Book of Mark

Join this facilitated Bible study as we continue reading Mark’s gospel where the Family Bible Laboratory left off. The class will focus on your questions regarding the text as we seek to understand what it means to be a disciple of Jesus today. Teacher: Matt Carpenter in the Choir Room

Option #3: Parenting with the Love of Jesus

Join Pastor Aaron for a fun class exploring how to parent from the best source possible- Jesus! Raising children is a tough job, but the most important job you can ever have. This will be a fun and interactive class for parents of all ages with children of all ages and prospective parents as well. If you think you’re too old to be a parent or too young to be a parent come anyway and share in some fun as we draw near to Jesus together. Teacher: Pastor Aaron Umpleby in basement Rm #13

Option #4: Understand the/our/His Church

Ever wondered how church began? Ever wondered how our church began? Ever wondered why there are so many different churches? Every wondered what’s different between our church and all the other churches? Join Pastor Mark Claudson for information and conversation that will help us understand the answers.
